Explicit and implicit measures of emotion

This article summarizes the differences between self-reported and non-self-reported methods for measuring emotions. It also provides an overview of previous studies that examine indexes related to these methods, mainly in field affective trait research. Finally, discusses application explicit implicit measures. The main arguments this are as follows: (1) There is no superiority or inferiority measures, such one superior other could be used a substitute other. (2) Explicit measures have advantages disadvantages should with understanding their respective characteristics.
